Just getting back from a LONG LONG day

We have talked with so many people and ordered from
so many companies it is all becoming a big blur.

I have taken over 600 pictures so far and am spending the next
few hours loading them into files on the laptop
by company. Hoping to then post each line separately with
what all we saw and what we ordered. There has been so
much to see and order it may take a few days to get it all posted

We have ordered so far from

Pink Paislee--all 4 new lines definately one of my favorite
companies this release...amazing colors, embellishments and
they went to double sided paper.

Basic Grey----ordered all the new lines

Lily Bee----ordered from them for the first time
Vintage Poppy

Prima--Ordered 3 lines from them plus some flowers
and other goodies.

Kaiser----ordered 6 lines from them and some
new mini books and other goodies

3 Bugs In A Rug--We havent ordered from them the past
year or so. But they had 3 really cute lines so
we ordered them...They are Shipping next week and I
will post some pics in a day or so....

Webster's Pages---We ordered 2 lines from them
plus some fabric tags and little calendar journal
spots.

Little Yellow Bicycle----They came out with a
fall line in addition to the usual Halloween
Line. We both loved Autumn Bliss so we ordered
that plus Christmas. Ordered the Journal tablets
for all new lines and some other goodies.

Fancy Pants---Loved the Rough & Tough Boy Line
Reminds us a little of the Prima Dude line from
a year or so ago. Ordered the whole collection.
We also ordered Little Sprout, Trick or Treat and
Christmas Magic Lines.

Graphic 45----This booth and Pink Paislee had
the 2 best booths for the amount of samples
and ideas. I will post some of the pics of
the booth soon. It was amazing. Dozens and
dozens of layoutsm altered everything from
boxes, tins, telephones, chairs, canvases
etc. I could have looked at things there
for hours. We ordered Domestic Goddess
and Christmas Past. Very cool
vintage lines.

Crate Paper---We loved and ordered Season
Collection, North Pole

Ok time to get orders ready to hand in
tomorrow since it is the last day of the show.
I brought a ton of order forms back to the
hotel so I can fill them out myself and just
drop off at the booths tomorrow. Will try and
get all the pics loaded, sorted and post some
soon :)

Hanging Out In The Cosmo Cricket Booth

Day 1 also meant a long stop at the Cosmo Cricket Booth for us.
Their booth also was full of samples, altered projects, cards
and more. The only slight disappointment for me was
there will not be the usual vintage style Christmas
release which I LOVE. This year's Christmas is a more
bright retro look. Cute but I really liked the old
fashion style they did. Lindsay one of the owners
we have talked with and emailed over the years was
there and it was great to put another face with that
voice/email on the other line. We loved the Earth
Friendly Line. So we left with ordering both the
Christmas Retro Line and Earth Friendly. There
was a Teenage Boy line which we passed on since it
was tooo theme specific. They had tons of altered
project ideas and cards using both this using this
years and last years papers so we took a ton of
pics here also. Sharing a few of those below.

More Basic Grey Booth Fun

My favorite Basic Grey Release was
Eskimo Kisses Patti's was Indiam Summer.
We ordered all 4 new releases so there
should be something for everyone :)

The Slice Apron/Picture Promo

Slice was giving away pink craft aprons and anyone
who wore theirs had a chance to win several prizes.
They were randomly taking pictures and posting
them on a board during the day. We were so
busy all day that we never went back to check
to board to see who all had won. Patti soon
decided to trade her apron strings in for a
pink hair extension from Pink Paislee.

As for the other apron model. Some guys
just really enjoy a trade show with the
gals. I actually can't remember who he
was but he had a great sense of humor :)

The Basic Grey Booth Summer 2009 CHA Orlando Was Full Of Samples For All The New Lines.

Basic Grey's booth was full of activity early on.
We ordered all the new lines plus the Christmas
Card Class Kits and Calendar Class Kits.

You never know who you will run into at CHA.
For us it was our Atlanta neighbors the Scrap
Chic Gals. I think Patti could have stayed
here for most of the morning. But all it took
was a 5 letter word....Her 2nd favorite company
PRIMA.

First Stop Was One Of Patti's All Time Favorite Companies Basic Grey

We loved all of the releases and samples.
Patti especially likes Indian Summer...
Perfect for Fall Pictures. My favorite
was Eskimo Kisses...Cute Cute Cute
papers, Chipboard shapes, card class
kit, just about the whole Eskimo line
is a winner.

We ordered all the new lines plus the
Christmas Card Class Kit and also the
calendar class kit for upcoming classes.

Starting The Morning Early In The Lobby At One Of My Favorite Fountains And Sitting Areas In The Hotel

Across the street and thru the doors to start 3 days of endless walking,
catalogs, demos, make and takes and FUN

CHA Orlando Day 1

We had a terrific first day. I am so glad I decided for us to stay
at the Peabody. We dont have to worry about catching any
shuttles back and forth for the show. We just go straight
outside and cross over to the convention center. Which
is definately one of the biggest I have seen. When walked
so much today and were so busy at 2pm I realized I had
not had a SINGLE CUP OF COFFEE much less a Dunkin
Donuts cup. We are getting up early tomorrow and venturing
down the road to the DD so I can get my fix.

We were at the show from start to finish today. We met up
with some other local scrapbook store gals, posed for pictures,
did a few make and takes, placed a ton of orders a few were
Basic Grey, Pink Paislee, Tattering Angels, Fancy Pants, Kaiser,
Cosmo Cricket, Sizzix, Crate Paper, Bo Bunny and more.

Gonna finish uploading some pics from the 2 cameras (yes
I was clicking like crazy...Both Patti and I commented that
many of the booth had terrific samples and lots of altered
projects also.

Patti is already fast alseep which I should probably be also
but I will share a few pics first then play catch up tomorrow.

Went To The Hotels 50's Diner The B Liner For A Late Night Dinner And Treat

Patti and I went and did a little exploring then had a late dinner at the
B Line Diner. Unbeliveable deserts there :) Shared a few bites of
Buttermilk Chocolate Cake since I behaved all week ..Yum Yum

Off to get some rest before a non stop day at CHA tomorrow bright and
early after a pit stop at the Dunkin Donuts right down the street :)

We managed to make it all the way here with only one DD stop...
Amazing for me :)

We will post pics and updates of any new cool things we see
tomorrow.

We Are Here Safe And Sound

We are all checked in and settled. We made great time until we hit
Orlando. Then a slight Map Quest error of directions but thanks to
a local nurse we were soon headed in the right direction :)

The hotel is absolutely AWESOME. Great lobby, restaurants,
rooms if really nice and big with all the extras.

Here are a few pics of the lobby areas :)

Phew.......There's a Dunkin Donuts For Coffee 1.74 Miles From The Hotel

Those who know me realize how important
that is. Gotta have my daily DD in the
morning. Jen's friends now show up
with DD Coffee when coming over :)

Where We Will Be Recovering From All The Daily Walking We Will Be Doing

Patti and Michelle do so much for the store
I wanted to make sure we stayed at a nice
hotel. So I picked the Peabody. I am hoping
they are going to like our stay there. It is
a pretty property and we can walk right out
the front door, cross the street and be at
the convention center for all the daily
activities :)
